Fotio Photo Booth at Chicago Design Museum Opening

After two days of NeoCon at the Merchandise Mart plus the Guerrilla Truck Show in Fulton Market we attended the Chicago Design Museum's opening for "Starts/Speculations: Graphic Design in Chicago Past and Future." This was a perfect end to Chicago Design Week as everyone was celebrating the Chicago Design Museum's new permanent space on the 3rd Floor of Block 37 / 108 N. State St. right in downtown Chicago! Bridgeport Art Center Sculpture Garden Photo Booth

We absolutely love the new Bridgeport Art Center sculpture garden/1st floor gallery event space. It is a perfect Chicago wedding venue with a rustic and vintage feel. We covered a wedding there last night and used the pristine white wall as a backdrop for the photo booth pictures. Everyone went crazy for Fotio and we got 700+ shots of all the guests. Columbia College Chicago Manifest 2014 Street Festival Photo Booth

The theme was "flight" so we custom made an air-brushed star-scape background and special ordered some aviator goggles and an astronaut helmet. Fotio Photo Booth at Kitchen Chicago Wedding Venue

Today we stopped by Kitchen Chicago in the near west side to view the event space for an upcoming wedding. We took some test shots with Fotio to see what options we have for a backdrop. The venue is really very nice - it consists of one large room with a loft and lots of natural sunlight. This seems like a perfect wedding venue for a smaller Chicago wedding. We tested our photo booth on the loft using the glass blocks as a backdrop and also on the main floor with the white wall as a backdrop. Check out the photos below!

Revolution Brewing Photo Booth for C2E2 Galaxy Hero

April 4, 2014

Fotio photo booth made it out to the C2E2 Galaxy Hero IPA relaunch party last night at the Revolution Brewery Kedzie Tap Room. Revolution brews this IPA special just for the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo every year! We also got to meet some of the folks over at Dimo's Pizza in Wicker Park who made one mean slide of themed 'za with Flaming Hot Cheetos and Mountain Dew sauce. We were scared at first but after trying a slice we can't wait to go back for more during the week of C2E2! Venue One Photo Booth for Steppenwolf Theatre Fundraiser

Fotio had an awesome time at Venue One for the Annual Steppenwolf Theatre Red or White Ball fundraiser! We used the painted white brick as a backdrop and a 50" external monitor for extra photo booth fun so everyone could see the pictures from across the room. View all the photos here.

Salvage One Photo Booth for Art Gives Me Hope

Check out how cool our vintage camera photo booth looked in the Salvage One second floor event space! This was our second "Art Gives Me Hope" event with Dark Matter Coffee, Threadless, Lagunitas Beer, Uncle Dougie's, and Hope for the Day. We got some amazing photos and helped everyone get excited about supporting the new Dark Matter and HFTD collaboration coffee named Sip of Hope. Hope for the Day is a non-profit organization committed to suicide prevention and awareness. Each Sip of Hope coffee bag sold helps to benefit the cause! We also got to meet the amazing crew over at Uncle Dougie's who make all natural small batch BBQ sauce, marinades, and Bloody Mary mixes right here in Chicago! Fotio Photo Booth Visits Newberry Library Wedding Venue

We had the pleasure of meeting event directors Karen Aubrey and Chayla Ellison with the Newberry Library earlier today. This historic venue is an amazing place for a wedding or other private event right in Chicago. The grand staircase in the lobby serves as a breathtaking backdrop for pictures and the library will even keep exhibitions open for you and your guests to explore during your special event! We tested our vintage photo booth setup in Ruggles Hall which is the most spacious event space which accommodates up to 200 seated or 300 for cocktails. The large draped curtains looked simply amazing as a Fotio backdrop.

Crystal Ballroom Wedding Photo Booth Rental at Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel Chicago

We had the pleasure of working with fun wedding photographers from Rojo Foto Design along with Stephanie Fields from Great Events, Inc. out of Northbrook, IL for this old-time Gatsby-esque wedding extravaganza! The wedding and reception both took place in the Crystal Ballroom at the Millennium Knickerbocker in downtown Chicago. Amazingly, the event staff quickly flipped the room during the cocktail hour for these two epic setups! The Crystal Ballroom is amazing with the intricate crown molding and light up dance floor. Fotio will be at the River Shannon pub on February 14th, 2014 taking photo booth portraits of you and your bestie for Valentines Day this year! The River Shannon is located at 425 W. Armitage in Lincoln Park. Fotio will be set up from 5:00-8:00pm and it will be free to take as many pictures as you please! Chicago Masquerade Photo Booth Rental at Venue One!

Seeing as we are avid Stanley Kubrick fans we were delighted when hired by Kapow Events to bring our vintage themed Chicago photo booth to an "Eyes Wide Shut" meets secret society themed masquerade party. The event was hosted at Venue One in the West Loop but it was a far cry from your typical corporate holiday work party. Obviously it was a bit more tame than Kubrick's psycho-sexual crazed film but it was not any less entertaining! The walls at Venue One were colored Oxblood red (apparently that color is hot right now!) and they had low rumbling bass music playing throughout the venue which was creepy awesome. Did we mention guests were greeted by non-speaking masked individuals with nose horns? The many flat-screen monitors on the wall played a slideshow of cryptic phrases such as "Drinketh From the Horn of the Horse," "Mask your Identity," and "Leave in Silence." As the party went on there was a great live band called "The Deliverables" who played fully masked. Everyone loved taking crazy photo booth pictures with the wild masks and a few unicorns even paid a visit!

World's Fair Themed Photo Booth at the Chicago Field Museum

We had the pleasure of working with event planners from agencyEA last night for a corporate holiday party at the Chicago Field Museum of Natural History. The event started in the museum's East Atrium with cocktails, live jazz music by Clarence Boykins, and Fotio fun! Guests posed with Fotio using a large black and white photograph of the museum from it's opening day in 1893. The party had a "White City" theme to go along with the current "Wonders of the 1983 World's Fair" exhibit at the museum. We brought along an eclectic assortment of props (such as a fake owl!) to cater to the old-timey theme and cool taxidermy at the museum. After cocktail hour guests moved upstairs to the epic Stanley Field Hall where Carl Akeley's Fighting African Elephants reside along with famous Tyrannosaurus Rex fossil SUE. Since the event had over 550 attendees we had two Fotio photo booths running concurrently. Our cameras felt majestic in the space and even looked period correct with the classic white marble interiors and vaulted ceilings!

Fotio Meets Windy City Fieldhouse Event Planners!

Yesterday we made a pit stop by Chicago's Windy City Fieldhouse to demonstrate our open air photo booth rental setup. The event planners at the Fieldhouse were all extremely nice and we could really tell that they love what they do. They were voted Chicago's #1 Team Building Company so you better believe they were excited about the social and interactive aspects of our new photo booth concept! We had heard of the Fieldhouse and recognized it as a sporting facility but did not realize they actually plan all kinds of event such as Corporate Events & Meetings, Holiday Parties, Casino Nights, Fundraisers &Galas, and even Bar and Bat Mitzvahs! The office is super cool - right when you walk in you notice the fish tank, a glass chandelier/sculpture spanning two floors, and lots of mid century modern styled furniture! 99th Floor Skydeck Photo Booth Rental at the Willis Tower

Just thought we would post a few pictures from a holiday party we covered last week on the 99th floor of the Willis Tower Skydeck. The event space can be customized with some pretty serious mood lighting - the clients chose blue for this event which looked very cool. The event space kind of circles around so you can get 360 views of downtown Chicago and beyond. The space is large enough that you can have dinner, dancing, dessert, and cocktail hour all setup without having to reset any rooms. The 99th floor has easy elevator access to the 103rd floor for the famous Skydeck glass ledge lookout.

Our vintage photo booth will be back at the Randolph Street Holiday Market next weekend December 14th and 15th in Chicago, IL. We will be taking free holiday portraits from 12-4:00pm both days! The Randolph Market is just a splendid Holiday market filled with 100+ vendors including eclectic antiques, handmade up-cycled items, vintage attire, amazing food vendors, and more! The market founder Sally Schwartz teamed up with event planner Matt Kubinski to make this years Holiday Market extra special. You don't wanna miss this one! Mismatched Vintage Loft Wedding at Chicago Urban Art Society

Chicago Urban Art Society is an event / wedding venue located in Pilsen at 600 West Cermak Road. It has a very cool lofty feel while still feeling homey. Chicago wedding planners Carolyn and Amy from An Event Less Ordinary did an amazing job dressing this place up and really creating a sweet mood for the party! We went for some mad hatter meets vintage photo booth props which worked out amazingly.
