A Photo Booth Without the Booth Chicago - Thanks Dr. Macenstein!

"Everyone knows the only thing worse than getting married is attending someone else’s wedding. (Or is that just me?) Well, in any event, if you are a prospective bride or groom and live near the Chicagoland area, you may as well throw your poor guests a bone and rent Fotio, the portable Photo Booth created by faithful Macenstein reader Nick and his wife out of an old 20-inch iMac."

Chicago Cubs ALS Fundraiser Photo Booth for David Dejesus - 1/17/13

Strike A Pose with the David Dejesus Family Foundation! This was a great party for a great cause at the River East Art Center! View some of the photos here.

We loved helping raise money for such a devastating disease. Some people, like the DeJesus family, know first hand how awful ALS is, and how few treatment options there are for people suffering. I also have witnessed the progression of Lou Gehrig's Disease, and am anxiously awaiting new developments in medical research for it.

The Cubs were such good sports! Asking local celebrities for their pictures was a little intimidating, but everyone was ready to Strike A Pose!

Digital Photo Booth Looks Like a Vintage Camera - PSFK - Chicago, IL

Check out this PSFK write up on Fotio!

Fotio is a “photo booth without the booth” that can be rented for special events like weddings and parties. It looks like a vintage camera and features a real-time slideshow of photographs on a 20″ iMac display instead of print-outs.

The social and fun camera lets guests capture a photo by stepping in front of it and pushing the red button. After each event, you get a USB with the photos on and they are also uploaded to a private online gallery within 24 hours.

How do I find a Photo Booth for my Wedding?

When we got married we wanted a photo booth for our wedding but we wanted something unique - we wanted a seriously social experience that would really help the party atmosphere and make everyone have a great time. We also wanted something cool and modern looking with high quality props. And it needed to be cheap and affordable! We decided to to make our own and make it available for everyone to enjoy! We deemed ourselves Fotio, A Photo Booth without the Booth.
